Flatbread (Gluten Free)


This is a delicious and very easy recipe for those avoiding gluten that everyone will enjoy.

This recipe is also easy to customise. You can add in any spice / fruit or nut combination by adding this to the dough.
Try adding black onion seeds for a Turkish taste or try raisins, flaked almonds and sweet spice, or smoked paprika and parsley for delicious twists to this recipe.


200g rice flour
200g buckwheat flour
240ml water
2 Tblsp of apple cider vinegar
1 Tblsp flaxseed / linseed which has been ground and soaked in 2 Tblsp water for 10 minutes until it is of a gooey consistency.


1. Put the flours together in a big bowl. while stirring add in the water and vinegar. Then add in the flaxseed mixture. Combine until mix achieves a dough texture.

2. Grab a handful of dough and roll into a ball in your hands. Then flatten this out into a nice circle shape either with hands or a rolling pin. Sprinkle some flour on either side of the flattened dough.

3. Heat a pan on the stove, (preferably one which has a lid) and when the pan is hot, place the flatbread in the pan and put the pan lid on. (This helps to keep the bread moist). Cook for a few minutes (1-3) on either side until there is no more soft dough.
