We started doing recipes in Unicorn to help those of us who aren’t quite sure what to do with some of our basic ingredients. Cooking isn’t hard, it just requires a little time, it’s how we nurture others and ourselves. There are piles of books out there about healthy living but its pretty simple when it comes to food, put the good stuff in and get a bit of sunshine.

We want to encourage people to make fine, wholesome and tasty food that is affordable. Our mains recipes span the cuisines of continents. As different workers with different foodie passions have passed through our doors many great meals have been added (and quite a few of our customers have passed on their favourites too).

All the recipes have been tried and tested by us. From tofu bakes to pies, curries, and stews. If you want to add a recipe just send us an e-mail. Tell us which recipes you have tried and what you think. Maybe one day if we do get round to doing that cookbook we’ll have your recipe in it.
